Bowmansgreen Primary School

Bowmansgreen Primary Support Base

Our PSB roomHertfordshire's Primary Support Bases (PSBs) give pupils with severe learning difficulties an intensive period of support.

They provide "extended roll", where pupils are dual registered and receive support from the base whilst in their own school. Following this support many pupils are able to continue in a mainstream setting. Other pupils may be admitted to the PSB permanent roll for a period of intensive support and assessment.

Bowmansgreen Primary School is the host school for a Primary Support Base for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, within the St Albans and Harpenden schools. Its purpose is to support the education of Some boys in our PSBpupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, including emotional and behavioural difficulties. It is located in a fully equipped classroom, with specialist equipment and dedicated staff.

Our base is noted for its inclusive practice and its staff have specialist knowledge, experience and proven skills in this field which promote a positive approach, whilst supporting EBD pupils in their own schools, across the primary age range.
